A graduate of Japan's esteemed Otsuma Women's University, Chief Designer Meneiko Chen started her successful children's formal wear company, LIDA CHILDREN'S WEAR INC in 1982.
During her twenty-some years in the children's formalwear business, because many of her children's designs resembled that of mini-bridal gowns, she would get many requests by family and friends to make grownup versions for their big wedding day.
